The Finding Home Series Book 3 Airos by @_JenWright

It is my great pleasure to welcome back author of the Finding Home Series
Jennifer Wright...

Thank you for having me as a guest today, HK!

Ive been asked a few questions lately about my Finding Home Series, and a regular one seems to be, how do your vampires and dragons differ from others? Well, considering I havent read every book out there that have vampires and dragons in them, I think Id be better off just laying out who they are in my stories, and maybe someone will see something that sets them apart.

Lets start with the vampires. Where the general thought of a vampire is that theyre undead made by being bitten by a vampire my vampires are born. They are their own species, not something that is created by a virus or some such thing as that. Also, like other vampires, they do need human blood to survive, but my vampires also need regular food (this Im sure Ive seen in another book as well, but isnt as common). Their strength, acute senses and speed are also like other vampires, but Ive added a few other things in like some vampires cry blood, and some vampires eyes can shift which allows them to see portals that other vampires cant see. Also, like in Zanes case, vampires can be half-breeds of both vampire and human Im sure you can figure out how that happens. ;)

Now, the Dráguns/dragons. I think I confused a few people with these guys, so hopefully thisll help. The species is the dragons, and Dráguns are dragons with a unique gene in them that they are born with. Dráguns are only male, and they only change from dragons to Dráguns when they hit manhood at that age the gene inside them is more or less activated, turning them permanently into Dráguns. Drágun, like dragons, still look like human but they have solid black eyes (red ones when theyre angry). Dráguns are much stronger than dragons and they hold a higher superiority over dragons. The biggest difference between the two is that Dráguns can shift into an actual animal dragon form (think fire breathing dragons in fairytales), whereas dragons are only ever in a human form. Also, one way to tell dragons apart from humans, is that every dragon has yellow or amber colored irises.

Lastly, the mages. They really are like any other magical being, but go by different names by gender. All of the women are just known as witches. Children are referred to as witches, but, when they get older and their magic becomes stronger, the males become wizards, or warlocks if theyre really powerful. One things that stands out between the mages is that certain ones can be born with a special ability such as a healing power, being able to read minds, or, in Elis case, being able to move things with their mind. One other thing is that they live a little longer than humans.

And there you have it. Hopefully this helps. :)

Thank you, again, HK, for hosting me today!

Book blurb:

Zane has everything in his life under control and in order, but can he keep it that way when a young dragon is thrown into his life?
Zane was meant to be a warriorend of story. Though he may not have had the most pleasant life living at the coven, he still loved being there. But the steadiness of his world came to a halt all within one days events. A man he never saw coming has pushed the boundaries of what little normalcy he has, and learning of a secret love is just confusing him even more. Zane has never felt more torn on what he should be feeling…and for whom. Though, if he assumed having two men plaguing his every waking thought was hard enough, learning of the danger his mother is in nearly has his head spinning off into another dimension.
The leader of the Dráguns is threatening to take everything away from him, his best friend is slipping further and further away from him, and a little dragon is managing to get under his skin in more ways than one. Sorting out what he has to do, what he wants, and whats right for him will be the biggest challenge hes ever been faced with. Will he follow his heart or will he take the easy path…or is the easy path the right path to begin with?

Excerpt:

Zane forced himself to put one foot in front of the other. His mind was reeling so badly he could barely focus on walking. He couldnt believe hed kissed Bo. What had he been thinking?
Just being in the room with Bo had clouded his thoughts, his determination. When the man had stood up, naked and shiny from the water glistening on his skin, Zanes senses had faded even more. But the fierceness in the dragons words as hed yelled at him, crowding him until he could retreat no more…well, Zane wasnt sure hed ever felt that turned on before, and he hadnt been able to stop himself from reaching out and pulling Bo closer.
Deep in his mind, hed been screaming at himself to stop, that he shouldnt be doing it, but the desire had outweighed it, smothering it.
Zanes body vibrated at the memory of Bos hot skin beneath his touch. That small, lithe body wrapped around himpressed against him. The sweet taste of Bos mouth had nearly done him in. He had been ready to take Bo right then and there.
He wasnt quite sure what it had been that had pulled him back, that had made him realize what hed been doing, but his next thought had been to get out of there as quickly as possible.
He didnt know what to do anymore. Hed never felt so confused. The only thing he could think of to do was to talk to Larkenhis friend had always been there for him.
Zane came to an abrupt halt in the middle of the hallway.
Oh gods, Larken.
Zane felt sick to his stomach. With everything that had been happening, he hadnt even thought about his friend. Larken had been there when he ran outside, and must have been there when hed come back in, but Zane had been so focused on Bo he hadnt even thought of Larken. He couldnt even imagine what the man was going throughfinding out his best friend was a half-breed.
Swallowing down his guilt and regret, he continued, hoping Larken would give him the chance to explain.

Author bio:

I was born in Arizona, but have spent the better part of my life in Wisconsin.  While I enjoy living close to my family, my heart longs to live in the South or anywhere where the winters are warmer, and I hope to someday get there.  I love writing, and try to dedicate as much of my free time to it (ha! what free time?).  If Im not typing away on my laptop, youll find me with my nose buried in a book, or with my loving boyfriend debating on what movie to watch and the never ending back and forth decision of what we should have for dinner.  I love spending time with my family and boyfriend, cuddling with my two cats, and laughing as much as possible (cuz I like to think I'm funny :-D).

Some little tidbits about me are I love horses and cats, I have a really big sweet-tooth, and I've been told I like to talk with my hands (insert hand gestures here).
